David W.
David is a grateful member of Alcoholics Anonymous who has found a new way of life through the Twelve Steps, sponsorship, service, and the grace of God. As a proud gay man, he is passionate about creating spaces where people feel seen, welcomed, and reminded that recovery is possible for everyone.
David lives in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with his fiancé and considers it a privilege to share his experience, strength, and hope in the spirit of unity and fellowship.
Rosie M.
Dedicated to the Al-Anon design for living since July 10, 2017, Rosie is a grateful member whose life and perspective have been profoundly changed by alcoholism. Today, active addiction no longer resides in her home, and through recovery, she continues practicing acceptance of life on life's terms.
Rosie is active in service with her home group, Calming Candlelight, as well as District 12 and the San Antonio Al-Anon Information Service. Rosie lives in San Antonio with her husband, Jose, and their two dogs, Línda and Sílex.
Randy E.
Randy sobered up in San Antonio 26 years ago. In 2007, he served as the San Antonio Roundup Co-Chair. And, in 2010, he served on the Gay and Lesbian Organizing Committee for the International Convention of Alcoholics Anonymous held in San Antonio.
Today, Randy and his partner live in Las Vegas, Nevada. He remains active in AA; his home group is the Tuesday Night Summerlin Men's AA Group. Randy believes that being connected to other AA members is vital to his recovery. He has sponsored hundreds of newcomers and has a sponsor who has a sponsor.
While Randy no longer lives in Texas, he maintains regular contact with his former sponsors and sponsees and has made lifelong sober friends wherever he goes. Randy has attended AA meetings in 13 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, and North America.
He currently serves on the GaL-AA newsletter committee and encourages LGBTQ+ AA members to sign up for the free monthly newsletter at GaL-AA.org.
Jorge L.

Jorge L., known on stage as Chi Chi Edwards, has been living in recovery since April 25, 2022. A proud member of Dallas Lambda, he is passionate about sharing a message of hope, authenticity, and service. Jorge has served as an LGBTQ+ panelist for ICYPAA and a speaker for TQYPAA, using both the podium and the stage to show that recovery makes room for every part of who we are.
A former Miss Half Measures, Miss Big D Round Up, and Miss Texas Drag Wars, Jorge believes recovery is more than staying sober—it’s learning to live with purpose, embrace joy, and help others discover that they, too, deserve a life beyond their wildest dreams.
